The engineer behind the work
I started FriendsBit after nearly a decade of delivering software projects on Upwork, where I built a 4.9/5 rating across 150+ projects and clients in over 10 industries. Every project on that profile was written by me, not delegated.
My background spans full-stack web development (React, Next.js, Go, Node.js, C#), mobile development (React Native), cloud architecture (AWS, Azure), and API integrations across REST, SOAP, OAuth2, and legacy enterprise systems. I have built systems for UN agencies, healthcare organisations, SaaS startups, and early-stage product teams.
FriendsBit is how I work with clients who need a senior engineer who understands both the technical and business side of a problem. Not a team of juniors managed by someone who stopped coding years ago.
If the project requires additional engineering capacity, I bring in trusted collaborators who I have worked with directly. You still have a single point of accountability.

We build for the system that runs at 2am when no one is watching, not the demo that runs when the client is. Error handling, logging, and recovery are first-class concerns.
Long-term thinking
Code written for the person who maintains it in two years. Documented decisions. Readable names. Tests on the paths that matter. We do not optimise for delivery at the expense of maintainability.
